Alfaisal Undergraduate Programs
Alfaisal offers wide range of courses in its four colleges (Business, Engineering, Medicine and Science). The courses have been designed in collaboration with distinguished international academic partners in order to satisfy the local and international market demands and to enable students to be prepared for employment.
College of Business
The College of Business offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Science in Business (BSc) degrees. The Bachelor of Science in Business (BSc) degree contains concentrations in the following areas; Finance, Marketing, Accounting, Project Management and General Business. The goal of the College of Business is to provide the best international business education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To achieve this, we have built our programs around a curriculum that is typical of the best business schools in the world. The business programs include both the standard content, such as accounting, finance, and marketing subjects, along with cutting edge issues such as the need for innovation, globalization, and the world financial crisis. The curriculum is designed to provide students with a world-class knowledge base upon which their careers can be built. To deliver this curriculum, we have assembled a diverse, highly qualified business faculty. The faculty is research active and up-to-date in their disciplines. They also have their doctorates from some of the best universities in the world. The faculty comes from the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK, among other countries. The goal of the faculty is to present a challenging, student focused classroom environment that enhances the educational experience. We demand that our faculty constantly review their knowledge and teaching performance to deliver the best possible educational experience to our students.
College of Engineering
Alfaisal University has a world class College of Engineering which offers a Bachelor of Science BSc degree in (Electrical, Architectural, Software, Mechanical and Energy & Industrial Engineering) in a four-year program.
Our internationally recognized, faculty members have been trained in reputed international universities. Their expertise and experience in working with industry and research laboratories strongly benefits the COE students and Saudi industry. The latest teaching materials and facilities offered by the college help to ensure student success. The College of Engineering is a member of the MIT Open Courseware Consortium and has an advisory committee on programs and requirements from MIT (USA) and Cambridge University (UK). Graduate programs in Engineering are also planned.
College of Medicine
The College of Medicine offers a MBBS degree. The program is a problem-based curriculum comprised of five years with three sequential phases, followed by an internship year. It is taught in collaboration with King Faisal Hospital and Research Center, Saudi Arabia’s prime teaching hospital. The program is conducted in collaboration with Partners Harvard Medical International (PHMI)
College of Science and General Studies
College of Science and General Studies offers a four-year, Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree program in Life Sciences. This includes coursework in basic sciences (biology, chemistry, and physics) and advanced laboratory research projects in areas such as genetics and biotechnology. In addition, the College provides core courses in the natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences for all University students in the Colleges of Business, Engineering and Medicine. The College plans to develop a bachelor degree program in two additional fields-Computer Science and Environmental Science for the Fall of 2012.
