Alfaisal University ‘s 45 faculty members have had a very prolific publication output with 84 refereed journal papers in 2010, and already 48 papers for the first half of 2011. This averages out to about two refereed journal papers per full time faculty member. In addition there were 2 patent applications in 2009 and one in 2010, and 14 books and 22 book chapters published in the last 4 years (see research output table). This is a very respectable research output for a young university and demonstrates the high quality of its faculty.
